iko is the International Kiteboarding Organisation. The IKO are a group who have introduced a world minimum standard of teaching safe kiteboarding. It allows instructors to know what to teach and how, schools to have a safe teaching ethos and insurance companies a standard of which to gauge minimum proficiency when offering a policy.
