 Ed and Young Kiter Zac AKS offer the intro lesson for customers who are keen to have a bit of a taste of power kiting before committing to a course of lessons. This lesson is also highly recommended if you are keen to get into the sport but have had no prior kite flying experience. Intro lessons are the perfect introduction to the exciting world of water and land power kiting. You may choose to learn kite mountain boarding or kite surfing from this lesson.The Intro lesson is exactly what it sounds like, an introduction to the worlds fastest growing and most exciting water sport, kiteboarding. You get to see what it is like to fly a powered trainer kite under the instruction and guidance of one of our trained AKS instructors.  Ozone Imp Trainer The lesson goes for 1 hour and is conducted in a group of up to 3 others. The kites will be the latest Ozone Imp III, trainer foil kites of sizes to suit the prevailing wind strength. You will learn about safety and release systems, how to rig and launch a trainer foil kite, kite control and steering, correct flying technique, understanding the wind window, how to generate and control power, relaunching after a crash, and how to land the kite safely. Flying a Trainer is fun! The cost of this lesson will be deducted from the purchase price of an Ozone trainer kite should you decide to buy one at the end of your lesson to continue your practice. Trainer kites are the best way to maximize the value you get from your full lessons. The more time you spend flying trainer kites, the easier learning the sport is and the faster you will advance through your formal lessons on full size power kites. This will ultimately save you money!With 10-15 hours flying, trainers give you a complete understanding of the wind window and also build intuitive control and muscle memory of how to fly a kite in adverse as well as predictable conditions. This experience directly translates to the larger Leading Edge Inflateable power kites we use to ride on the water and also on the large land foil kites used on land on buggys and mountain boards.
